Welcome to the rules section of the pack website. With all things, boundaries are set to ensure safety, happiness and provide a comfortable environment. No matter what one is involved in, they'll always be a set of rules to follow. Please be mindful of them and ensure that you not only read them but that you also understand them as well follow them.
1. What is F.A.Q?
-Frequently Asked Questions
2. Do the rules apply to -everyone- even Newbies?
- Yes. The rules apply to everyone. That is why the rules are set. There are SOME rules that members of the pack must follow, but those are indicated under 'seperate' sections.
3. What happens if I send in my application to join the pack and i've not read the rules?
-Its rather noticable when someone doesnt read the pack rules. We ask that you take the time to read the below and become fimilar with them. We like to ensure that there is a peaceful enviorenment within Wolf Spirits. This is accompanyed by reading the rules, and it also ensures you know more about the pack you are about to join. It is important if you are to join the pack to know what works and goes on with the pack, and the rules and knowing the rules are -very- important.
4. What happens if I break a rule?
-It depends on what rule is broken. For minor offenses there will be minimal punishment. There will be a page added soon about 'punishments' for breaking rules. But, again it all depends on the rule broken to determine the punishment. Punishment will fit the wrong doing.
5. What if a packmember breaks a rule?
- Inform another packmember if the ALPHA, BETA or council member are not present. If neither is present please email the alpha here.
OOC can stand for two things. Out Of Character or Out Of Conversation. PLEASE keep OOC to a Min. within the clearing. You may ask a Question within the clearing, but we'd like it if you would ask the Alpha's, Beta's or pack members, they will help and refer you to the right resources for your answer. There is an OOC channel in which you can join, to just talk about anything.
OOC Channel: #WS_OOC Member Channel: #WolvenHeart (Only @'s can join)
Scripts depend on what is being presented and shown. Annoying bright color, background scripts are NOT permitted within the OOC Channel, but simple readable scripts like MP3 scripts like undead script for example are more then welcome as long as the color scheme doesnt change to drastic to bright annoying colors. Other scripts such as advertising scripts, bot scripts etc.. are not welcome unless they have some significance towards the pack, wolves or otherwise asked permission to 'test' something.
The ooc channel provides a place where anyone is more then welcome to join, ask questions about role play, the pack and general In Real life chat. The OOC channel is NOT a regular CHAT CHANNEL were you can post porn, cuss profusly and break the rules. We like to have fun in OOC and joke around and be relaxed but to a CERTAIN extent can it be extended. Please while in the ooc channel by MINDFUL of the other people around you and what you say.
Due to the fact we've had numerous problems with this in the past, vulgar language isnt welcome within the OOC channel. Its not acceptable and not welcome. Sometimes it slips, this is alright but you will be given the 3 strikes rule in OOC as far as language. Strike 1 equals warning. Strike 2 Kick with another warning. Strike 3 results in a Ban.
The Ops responsibility in the OOC channel is to ensure that everyone follows the rules accordingly EVEN themselves. When an op requests that you stop a certain behavior/saying a word/ etc.. Please give them your respect and listen to them. If you have an ISSUE or problem with the op and feel that you've been mistreated in any manner then please bring this to the attention of the Alpha(s)/Beta(s) and they will notify the Alpha(s) A.S.A.P. Or go to the forum and PM the Alpha(s) or email. See the contact page for a reference guide to email address and other contact information.
When visiting a new pack, or a pack for the first time, or returning visit one always conduct themselves accordingly. Show respect to a visiting pack, dont make waves with the members and rules there and be friendly utmost of things. We love having visitors to our clearing, it keeps the interaction alive and interesting. There are only a few basic things that we like to see of visiting wolves especially from other packs.
join the OOC channel #Ws_OOC to ask more about whats going on and what you should do. Make sure that you read the pack rules ( your on the right page, good '_-) and understand them to better suit your wolf to understand the pack ways.
How to Avoid being Droped due to LOA/ELOA:
The Wolf Spirits pack is a growing pack and with that the pledge/assessment period(s) are taking seriously. We rely highly on the devotion of a wolf and how much of that devotion is showed in their desire to join our pack by attendence. As stated before in the "how to become a pledge" section on the "assessment" page, it encloses the details of how to become a pledge or assessment. Alot of wolves worry that if they do not become pledge now, then they will not have a spot. Below are a few tips on how you can keep from being dropped as an assessment or pledge due to inactivity.
Attendence - show your dedicated, try to make it online as much as possible! Humans take over our wolven lives, that’s understandable, but attendance is the ut-most important. The more your there, the more we know you, and the closer you get to becoming family. This is the biggest factor that determines if a wolf showed be dropped. Leniency depends on your how long you've been around wolf spirits.
Devotion - being present within the clearing, your able to grow bonds with the wolves within the clearing and to your future home. Devotion is looked highly upon when deciding when to drop a wolf
Going SomeWhere? - TELL THE ALPHA! The worst thing you could possably do is dissapear on a five year trip and not tell anyone. Its common curtiosy to tell someone when you are going somewhere. You need to ask your teacher for a hall pass to go to the bathroom right? Well ... bad example. Anyway.. If you have to go somewhere for a long period of time, -please- notify someone about your being gone. If not the Alpha(s) or Beta(s) at least a packmember. There's no excuse for not telling SOMEONE that your going to be gone. It may take a little while, if you dont have access to the internet, but send a memo, an email, something to let the leadership know you will be gone so you wont be placed as an ELOA. (scroll down to see more on eloa's)
Internets Problems - Go to a friends house, go to your public library, and send the alpha(s) or/and beta(s) word that your internet is down. If you cannot get to a computer, its understandable, and you should explain this to the alpha when you return.
LOA (Leave Of Absence):
Is when a wolf/mun knows when your going to be gone from the pack and irc or internet for a long period of time. A LOA can be requested and is HIGHLY recommended if you know you will be gone or any given amount of time from the clearing or internet. Wolves will be placed as in-active after 2 months of an Unexplained loa. A LOA is not only courteous but it keeps the Alpha(s) and/or Beta(s) informed of where you are and are aware that you are gone so you will not be placed as InActive. To request a LOA you must consult the Alpha(s) and/or Beta(s). This can be through memo, email or one on one if the alpha(s) or beta(s) is present on IRC to speak to in person.
LOA (Unexcused Leave Of Absence):
A wolf is placed as a ELOA when he/she has not been seen, heard from, or made contact with for over 3 months. One month after a wolf is placed as a ELOA, they will be dropped from their current rank/position. An ELOA is a wolf that has dissapeared from the clearing and has not been in contact with ever sense their starting date of not being present. If a packmember is placed as a ELOA, they will have the chance to return full status of PackMember, but he/she MUST speak to the Alpha(s) and it also depends on the circumstances. An Assessment/Pledge may also request to re-join but further evaluation and determination of where placement will continue is up to the Alpha(s).
ELOA For PackMembers:
As being apart of the WolfSpirits pack and family, there is a greater leniency to how long you can be gone for. But there is a limit to how long a member can be gone until their placed on a ELOA. A packmember will be placed on a ELOA if he/she has been 'missing/inactive' for more then 4 months without word to the Alpha(s) , Beta(s) and/or Packmember(s). There's no excuse for not telling someone your going to be gone for a long period of time. Becoming active again, you must speak to your alpha(s). Further instruction will be given due to reason for being inactive for so long.
ELOA For Assessments:
As an Assessment, it is your responsibility to show that you desire to join the WolfSpirits pack, and with that, attendance is vital to your advancing to packmember. If an assessment is 'missing' within the time period of 2 months, he/she will be dropped down to pledge. Another month after, if he/she has not shown up in the clearing, sent a memo to the alpha(s) or beta(s) about their LOA, or an email has not been received he/she will be dropped from pledge and asked to re-assess if they should show.
Considering the WolfSpirits pack is a large pack, and we adore all wolves who desire to be apart of it, the pledge period isn’t -as- serious as the Assessment period. Thus, if a pledge has not been heard from within a months time then he/she will be dropped from pledge status. Should he/she wish to rejoin as pledge, they are more then welcome and humbly accepted to rejoin.
